I’m the Richardson Professor of Applied Mathematics in the School of Mathematics at the University of Manchester.

My research area is numerical analysis, focusing on numerical linear algebra. For more on my research see my website.

I use Emacs, LaTeX and MATLAB on Windows-based desktops and Mac laptops.
